Lucia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2006.  She served as Senior Articles Editor for the Urban Morgan Institute International Human Rights Journal, worked on civil-rights issues as Chair of the Immigrant Community Legal Advocacy Project and Fellow to the Ohio Innocence Projects, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.  While in law school, Lucia worked as law clerk to a Justice of the High Court of Botswana; after graduation, she served as Law Clerk to United States District Judge Avern Cohn in the Eastern District of Michigan, after which she worked as a Staff Attorney for Legal Aid of Southwest Ohio, LLC, where she managed a large litigation portfolio.  She graduated magna cum laude from the Ohio State University’s Honors and Scholars program in 2003.
